1. Purpose

This policy keeps Splitbag trustworthy for builders, contributors and customers. It applies to everyone using the Service and forms part of the Terms of Service. Splitbag Technology ("Splitbag", "we") may update it with notice.

2. General rules

You must not:

  • break any law or regulation, or help someone else do so;
  • provide false, misleading or incomplete information about yourself, your product, your revenue or your results;
  • impersonate a person, company or Splitbag, or misrepresent your affiliation;
  • upload malware, probe or attack the Service, scrape it beyond what published interfaces allow, or bypass rate limits or access controls;
  • harass, threaten or discriminate against others;
  • list or promote products that are illegal, deceptive, infringing, or that facilitate fraud, weapons trafficking, adult exploitation, or other harmful activity;
  • use the Service to sell securities, solicit investments, or offer a share of a business in exchange for money.

3. No money-for-share, no promises of returns

Offers on Splitbag reward work, not capital. Do not describe any offer as an investment, and do not promise or imply guaranteed earnings, passive income or returns. Do not offer to transfer, sell or assign a commission interest to anyone else. Interests are tied to the contributor's own work and end with it.

4. Fraud and traffic integrity

These are prohibited and may lead to reversal of commissions, suspension and removal:

  • Self-referral. Buying, or having your household, company or controlled accounts buy, through your own link or code to earn a commission.
  • Fake accounts. Creating accounts, trials, customers or conversions that do not represent real, independent buyers.
  • Cookie stuffing and forced clicks. Setting, dropping or triggering tracking without a genuine, informed user click.
  • Brand bidding. Bidding on, or registering confusingly similar variants of, the product's name or brand in search or social ads, unless the builder permits it in writing.
  • Incentive and coupon leaks. Publishing promo codes on coupon or deal sites, or offering rebates or cash back from your commission, unless the builder permits it in writing.
  • Misattribution. Manipulating click, source, country or price data to claim revenue your work did not bring in.
  • Click or conversion automation. Bots, scripts or click farms.

We score deals using risk signals such as shared email domains, IP and device information, card fingerprints, conversion speed, click velocity and duplicate customers. High-risk deals can be held for review.

5. Disclosure when you promote

If you receive a commission, that is a material connection. Under the FTC Endorsement Guides (16 CFR 255) you must disclose it clearly and conspicuously, in the same medium as your promotion and close to the claim, for example "I earn a commission if you buy" in the post, video or email itself, not only on a separate page. Do not make claims about a product that you cannot support, and do not describe results that are not typical. Each tracked link on Splitbag carries disclosure text you accept and agree to use.

6. No negotiating or contracting for builders

Contributors do not set prices, grant discounts beyond codes the builder created, make promises about the product, or sign or conclude contracts on a builder's behalf. Direct customers to the builder's own checkout.

7. Builders

Builders must connect their own Stripe account, report revenue and sales accurately, honor their stated refund window, avoid manipulating charge data, and not discourage customers from using attributed links or codes. Product listings must be accurate and are subject to review before going live. Featured placement is labeled and must not be presented as an organic ranking.

8. Circumvention

For engagements that started on Splitbag, do not move the arrangement off Splitbag to avoid commissions during the non-circumvention period set in the engagement terms sheet.

9. Content and messaging

Do not send spam or unsolicited bulk messages through Splitbag. Respect opt-outs and the law on commercial email and text messages. See the SMS and Email Policy.

10. Reporting and enforcement

Report violations to [email protected]. We may investigate, request information, remove content, hold or reverse commissions, suspend or end accounts, and report conduct to authorities or payment providers where required. We aim to explain decisions and allow a response where it is safe and lawful to do so.
